Director of Finance & Operations
Our client is seeking a Director of Finance & Operations to lead financial strategy, operational excellence, and organizational stewardship within a mission-driven, community-focused environment. This role requires a collaborative, adaptable leader who can navigate complexity, support diverse stakeholders, and translate financial insights into clear, actionable guidance. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, a thoughtful people manager, and someone genuinely aligned with the organization’s community impact and values.

This role is a hybrid model in Hillsboro, Oregon.

Director of Finance & Operations Responsibilities

  • Lead budget development, forecasting, and ongoing financial oversight, including variance analysis.
  • Oversee multi-entity accounting and financial operations across affiliated entities and partnerships.
  • Prepare and present financial reporting and insights to executive leadership and the Board of Directors.
  • Manage complex funding streams, grants, and compliance requirements across diverse revenue sources.
  • Supervise and develop team members while providing operational oversight across functions such as HR, IT, and internal systems.

Director of Finance & Operations Qualifications

  • Demonstrated supervisory experience with a track record of coaching and developing staff.
  • Experience operating in multi-entity or highly complex financial environments.
  • Strong expertise in budgeting, financial reporting, and financial controls.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex financial information to non-finance audiences.
  • Proficiency with Sage Intacct or the ability to quickly become highly effective in the system.

Salary: $105K-$126K/year. (DOE)
