Data Associate
Our client is seeking a Data Associate to support a critical data operations function that enables sales teams to make informed, data-driven decisions. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with large datasets, and takes ownership of delivering accurate, high-quality outputs. This is an individual contributor role with strong cross-functional exposure.

This role is fully remote. EST working hours are required.

Data Associate Responsibilities

• Analyze and process vendor, payment, and spend data using Excel-based tools to identify matches and insights that support business initiatives.
• Review, cleanse, and validate large datasets (e.g., vendor names, addresses, and financial details) to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Perform data matching, deduplication, and reconciliation using functions such as VLOOKUP and other lookup methodologies.
• Manage assigned data workflows from intake through final delivery, ensuring outputs meet defined timelines and quality standards.
• Partner with internal teams, including sales and operations, to resolve discrepancies and improve data accuracy and usability.
• Maintain and update structured data files and tools used to support ongoing operational processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, data quality, and overall efficiency of data operations.

Data Associate Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in data analysis, financial technology, operations, or a related analytical role.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP, data cleaning, and data validation techniques.
• Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify inconsistencies and solve data-related issues independently.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across distributed teams.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining quality standards.
• Self-starter who is organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently.
• Exposure to Python or other data tools is a plus, but not required.

Compensation: $32-$42/hr. (DOE)
