CXone Lead Developer (Part-Time to Full-Time, Remote)
Our client is seeking a CXone Lead Developer to provide technical leadership and hands-on development support for a cloud-based contact center environment. This individual will play a key role in designing, enhancing, and maintaining complex call flows while ensuring high system performance and reliability. The position offers flexibility with part-time to full-time hours and a fully remote work environment, with some availability required during standard business hours for collaboration.

This role is fully remote.

CXone Lead Developer Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and optimization of advanced call flows using CXone Studio.
  • Build and maintain custom IVR and ACD routing solutions to support complex customer interaction workflows.
  • Develop and enhance scripting logic to improve call routing efficiency, customer experience, and operational performance.
  • Integrate CXone solutions with external systems, including APIs, databases, and third-party applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues by tracing call flows, identifying root causes, and implementing timely fixes.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance on best practices for CXone development and architecture.
  • Support a 24/7 production environment, including triaging live issues and ensuring system stability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.
  • Participate in project planning, solution design discussions, and ongoing system enhancements.
  • Document call flows, integrations, and technical processes to support maintainability and knowledge sharing.

CXone Lead Developer Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience working with NICE CXone (formerly inContact) in a development or engineering capacity.
  • Strong expertise in CXone Studio, including building complex, fully customized call flows.
  • Proven experience with IVR, ACD, and contact center technologies in a cloud-based environment.
  • Hands-on experience with API integrations and database connectivity (e.g., REST/SOAP services, SQL).
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and debug call flows using tracing and diagnostic tools.
  • Experience supporting production environments with high availability requirements.
  • Solid understanding of contact center operations and customer experience best practices.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, flexible schedule environment while meeting business hour collaboration needs.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • NICE CXone certifications or related credentials are preferred.
