Compensation Analyst
Our client is seeking a Compensation Analyst to support the delivery of accurate, compliant, and market-aligned compensation programs. This role partners closely with HR and business leaders to analyze roles, assess internal equity, support annual compensation cycles, and maintain reliable compensation data and documentation. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, service-oriented environment.

This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon.

Compensation Analyst Responsibilities

  • Analyze job roles, conduct market benchmarking, and perform job evaluations to support internal equity reviews, regulatory audits, and compensation recommendations.
  • Support annual compensation cycles, including merit and incentive programs, by preparing documentation, coordinating timelines, developing training materials, and partnering with HR systems teams to ensure data accuracy.
  • Maintain and manage the compensation survey library, including evaluating survey sources, validating position matches, managing market pricing data, and responding to internal and external data requests.
  • Administer incentive and recognition programs by supporting program design, employee communications, payout analysis, accrual coordination, and audit and year-end close activities.
  • Respond to compensation-related inquiries, document standard procedures, and provide ongoing data analysis and reporting support to the broader HR team.

Compensation Analyst Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • At least three years of experience in compensation administration, HR analytics, or related human resources functions.
  • Working knowledge of compensation principles, employment regulations, and internal equity practices.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to analyze data, draw conclusions, and formulate recommendations.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.

Compensation: $35-$45/hr. (DOE)
