Community Engagement Manager
Our client is seeking a Community Engagement Manager to lead and expand corporate social impact efforts across a defined market. This individual will drive employee engagement through philanthropy, volunteerism, and community partnerships while strengthening the organization’s presence and reputation within the communities it serves. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, with a passion for building relationships and delivering meaningful community impact.

This role is fully remote; applicants must reside in OR, WA, UT, or ID. Candidates must be able to work Pacific Time Zone hours and maintain flexibility to support occasional evenings and weekends as needed.

Community Engagement Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of community engagement initiatives, including employee volunteer programs, charitable campaigns, and local market events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with nonprofit organizations, community partners, and internal business leaders to align engagement efforts with broader organizational goals.
  • Develop and implement an annual community engagement strategy, including measurable targets and ongoing performance tracking.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for local engagement activities, overseeing event logistics, communications, participation tracking, and overall program delivery.
  • Drive employee participation in philanthropy initiatives, including volunteer opportunities, charitable giving, and nonprofit board placement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to design and promote campaigns that increase awareness and participation in community-focused programs.
  • Create compelling internal communications and materials to highlight engagement opportunities and showcase impact.
  • Maintain tools, systems, and reporting processes to track community involvement and measure program effectiveness.
  • Represent the organization at community events, volunteer activities, and networking functions to enhance visibility and partnerships.
  • Partner with communications teams to amplify community initiatives and strengthen the company’s external brand presence.

Community Engagement Manager Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience managing community engagement, corporate social responsibility, or philanthropic programs.
  • Strong background in event planning, program management, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence across a matrixed organization and with external partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation experience.
  • Experience developing strategies that increase employee engagement in volunteerism and community initiatives.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in planning, tracking, and reporting activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and collaboration platforms such as Teams.
  • Familiarity with digital tools or emerging technologies that enhance productivity and program outcomes is a plus.
  • Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience; typically 5+ years for mid-level or 10+ years for more senior candidates.
