Commercial Property Manager
Our client is seeking a Commercial Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of a portfolio of commercial properties in the Portland area. This role is ideal for a proactive property management professional who excels at maintaining strong tenant relationships, coordinating building operations, and ensuring properties operate efficiently and profitably. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of commercial real estate operations, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This role is onsite in Portland, Oregon, and requires availability to respond to after-hours property emergencies when needed.
Commercial Property Manager Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of commercial properties, ensuring strong tenant satisfaction, operational efficiency, and financial performance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, addressing inquiries, resolving concerns, and maintaining positive landlord-tenant relationships.
- Coordinate building maintenance, repairs, and vendor services in collaboration with engineering and facilities teams to ensure properties remain safe and well-maintained.
- Conduct routine property inspections and identify maintenance needs, capital improvements, or operational opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records including leases, contracts, vendor agreements, and property documentation.
- Monitor property performance, occupancy levels, and operating expenses while preparing reports and updates for leadership.
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate service contracts to support property operations and maintenance needs.
Commercial Property Manager Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial property management experience managing office, retail, or mixed-use properties. Residential property management experience alone is not sufficient.
- Experience supporting larger commercial properties or high-rise office environments is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency with property management software, with Yardi Voyager experience highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of commercial leases, tenant relations, and property operations.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate maintenance activities, vendors, and building operations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to build strong tenant relationships.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving and negotiation skills.
Salary: $85K-$105K/year. (DOE)
