CAD Drafter
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Drafter to support engineering, estimating, and production activities within a precision manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys translating technical requirements into accurate models and drawings while maintaining strong document control practices. The successful candidate will be organized, collaborative, and comfortable working both independently and with cross-functional teams.
This role is onsite in Hillsboro, Oregon.
CAD Drafter Responsibilities
- Develop and revise 3-D models and technical drawings to support new designs, existing part updates, and manufacturing fixtures.
- Partner with estimating and engineering teams to ensure released work orders contain complete and accurate design documentation.
- Create supplemental shop drawings to clarify or expand upon customer-provided prints when needed.
- Prepare and process engineering change documentation, ensuring drawing updates and revisions are properly controlled.
- Maintain drawing libraries, design records, and document control workflows with a high degree of accuracy and consistency.
CAD Drafter Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of experience producing technical drawings and 3-D models in a manufacturing or machine shop setting.
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or comparable CAD software used for mechanical design and drafting.
- Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Ability to interpret technical instructions and apply meticulous attention to detail in drafting and documentation tasks.
- Associate degree in Mechanical Drafting, Design, or a related field preferred but not required.
Salary: $26-$30/hr. (DOE)
