BIM Modeler 3
Our client is seeking a BIM Modeler 3 to support complex project delivery through advanced 3D modeling, coordination, and documentation. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a production-driven environment, enjoys working cross-functionally with field and design teams, and brings strong technical expertise in building information modeling tools and processes.

This role is onsite in Portland, Oregon.

BIM Modeler 3 Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D models and construction documents using Revit, ensuring alignment with project standards and specifications.
• Interpret marked-up drawings, sketches, and verbal direction to produce accurate, constructible design models and layouts.
• Coordinate models across disciplines, supporting clash detection and collaboration with field teams and trade partners.
• Generate dimensioned drawings and layout data to support installation and prefabrication efforts.
• Configure and manage Revit views, sheets, schedules, and worksets to support project workflows and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with field supervision to validate elevations, dimensions, and layout using model-based tools and equipment such as Total Station.
• Support laser scanning efforts and assist in translating scan data into usable 3D models for existing conditions.
• Manage digital files, including downloading, organizing, and archiving project documents in accordance with internal standards.
• Prepare drawing packages and assist with document distribution for internal and external stakeholders.
• Import and integrate various file types (e.g., spreadsheets, images, and documents) into modeling environments.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure proper handling of proprietary project information.
• Operate and troubleshoot plotting, printing, and document reproduction equipment as needed.

BIM Modeler 3 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in BIM modeling or detailing within a construction or design-build environment.
• Advanced proficiency in Revit (2D and 3D), including families, views, sheets, schedules, and worksharing.
• Experience with Navisworks, AutoCAD, and related modeling or coordination tools.
• Strong understanding of 3D coordination processes and multi-trade project environments.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Familiarity with field layout processes and model-based construction technologies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word; estimating software experience (e.g., Accubid) is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across project teams.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.

Salary: $70K-$90K/year. (DOE)
