BIM Modeler 2
Our client is seeking a BIM Modeler 2 who brings a strong foundation in 3D modeling and a willingness to grow within a collaborative project environment. This role is ideal for an early to mid-career professional or recent graduate who is eager to develop their technical expertise while contributing to high-quality project delivery. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and motivated to build their skills in BIM coordination, modeling standards, and construction documentation.

This role is onsite in Portland, Oregon.

BIM Modeler 2 Responsibilities

• Develop and modify detailed 3D models and construction drawings using Revit based on markups, specifications, and project requirements.
• Support project teams by organizing models, setting up views, and maintaining accurate electronic documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaborate with internal teams and field staff to ensure models align with construction needs, including layout and prefabrication requirements.
• Participate in 3D coordination efforts with other trades to identify and resolve design conflicts.
• Assist with model-based layout activities, including verifying dimensions and elevations using digital tools and field equipment.
• Create and manage Revit worksets, families, sheets, schedules, and other model components to support project execution.
• Support document control processes including downloading, organizing, and distributing drawings and project files.
• Contribute to laser scanning efforts and assist in coordinating point cloud data into usable 3D models.
• Prepare drawing sets and documentation for internal use and external distribution.
• Maintain adherence to internal standards, confidentiality requirements, and best practices for model and document management.

BIM Modeler 2 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
• 1–3+ years of experience in BIM modeling, or recent graduates with relevant coursework, internships, or project experience are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in Revit (2D and 3D modeling) with working knowledge of Navisworks and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with BIM coordination concepts and basic understanding of multi-trade environments.
• Strong ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; exposure to estimating tools such as Accubid is a plus.
• Understanding of Revit worksharing, families, and model organization best practices.
• Exposure to design-build project environments is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to take direction and translate it into accurate deliverables.
• Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and time management skills.

Salary: $59K-$76K/year. (DOE)
