Associate Procurement Specialist
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Associate Procurement Specialist who thrives in a structured, process-driven environment. This individual brings strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset to support efficient procurement operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, and committed to accuracy while ensuring smooth coordination across stakeholders.
This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon.
Associate Procurement Specialist Responsibilities
- Process purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and change orders in alignment with established procurement policies and standards.
- Support low-risk sourcing events by developing RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs and assisting with routine price negotiations.
- Assist with drafting, executing, and extending contracts while maintaining supplier documentation and performance records.
- Manage procurement-related tickets and workflow requests to ensure timely resolution and proper handoffs.
- Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and collaborate with cross-functional partners to support a seamless source-to-pay cycle.
Associate Procurement Specialist Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, category management, or a related discipline.
- Working knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing methods, and basic contract negotiation principles.
- Experience with ERP or procurement systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to change.
Compensation: Up to $33.83/hr. (DOE)
