Accounting Consultant
Our client is seeking an experienced accounting consultant for a short-term engagement focused on post-implementation cleanup following the recent launch of a new module within MIP. This role will concentrate on reviewing existing reconciliation activity, validating accuracy, and making necessary adjustments to ensure the system is operating cleanly and consistently. The ideal candidate brings a steady, detail-oriented approach, strong independent judgment, and the ability to quickly add value in a project-based environment.
This role is onsite in Portland, Oregon.
Accounting Consultant Responsibilities
- Review and audit existing bank reconciliation activity within MIP following the recent module launch.
- Evaluate the configuration and ongoing use of MIP’s bank reconciliation module to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Re-perform and validate reconciliations as needed to align with accounting best practices.
- Identify and implement necessary corrections to support system cleanup and stabilization.
- Document completed work and key adjustments to support a clean project closeout.
- Collaborate onsite with internal team members to ensure timely resolution.
Accounting Consultant Qualifications
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with MIP Fund Accounting, including bank reconciliations.
- Proven ability to independently assess and correct reconciliation activity with minimal oversight.
- Typically requires 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Senior-level accounting expertise with a strong track record of hands-on, detail-driven work.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, project-oriented environment.
Compensation: $40–$45/hour (DOE)
