Accounting Analyst
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to support capital and fixed assets accounting within a structured, deadline-driven environment. This role is ideal for a professional who enjoys working with complex financial data, values accuracy, and can balance meticulous execution with broader business awareness. The successful candidate will be collaborative, analytical, and comfortable working across teams while maintaining strong compliance discipline.
This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon.
Accounting Analyst Responsibilities
- Participate in month-end general ledger close activities, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Perform manual fixed asset accounting, including asset setup, cost transfers, depreciation, retirements, and related calculations.
- Create and monitor projects within SAP, including tracking Construction Work in Progress and supporting timely asset placement.
- Prepare recurring and annual accounting reports, regulatory filings, rollforwards, and audit support materials.
- Execute assigned internal control procedures and provide support to internal and external auditors.
Accounting Analyst Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, with CPA designation preferred.
- 3 or more years of applied accounting experience with a strong understanding of GAAP.
- Knowledge of fixed assets or capital accounting concepts within a corporate accounting environment.
- Advanced Excel skills, including working with large datasets, formulas, and pivot tables.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
