Digital Merchandising Manager – Footwear
Our client is seeking a consumer-focused Digital Merchandising Manager – Footwear to support day-to-day digital merchandising operations across a dynamic international marketplace. This role blends analytical rigor with creative assortment planning, requiring someone who can translate data and consumer insights into compelling product strategies. The ideal candidate is both detail-oriented and strategic, with a strong understanding of footwear trends and digital retail performance.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Digital Merchandising Manager Responsibilities
- Lead digital merchandising execution for footwear categories, supporting assortment planning and product positioning across key international markets.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data (including POS, consumer behavior, and inventory performance) to inform merchandising decisions and optimize KPIs.
- Develop and refine product assortments tailored to regional consumer preferences, ensuring alignment with market trends and business objectives.
- Partner cross-functionally with planning, marketing, and merchandising teams to deliver cohesive and consumer-right product strategies.
- Monitor and manage business performance through reporting, identifying opportunities to drive sales, improve inventory efficiency, and enhance the consumer experience.
- Contribute to seasonal and long-term merchandising strategies using both forward-looking insights and historical performance data.
- Support marketplace differentiation by curating product mixes that reflect local consumer demand while maintaining global brand consistency.
Digital Merchandising Manager Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in merchandising, preferably within footwear, apparel, or a related consumer product industry.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis, with the ability to translate complex datasets into actionable insights.
- Experience building assortments and selecting products based on consumer trends and regional market dynamics.
- Solid understanding of retail KPIs, including sales performance, inventory management, and profitability metrics.
- Proven ability to balance data-driven decision-making with creative merchandising instincts.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across cross-functional and global teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of global or international markets, with exposure to Asia Pacific and/or Latin America regions preferred.
- Interest in sneaker culture and evolving consumer trends within the footwear space is highly desirable.
- Additional language skills (such as Spanish, Korean, Japanese, or Portuguese) are a plus.
Compensation: Up to $43.33/hr. (DOE)
