Our client is seeking a thoughtful and relationship-driven Recruiter to support a dynamic, mission-oriented organization with a strong commitment to equity, collaboration, and community impact. This role is a hybrid model in Portland, Oregon.
Recruiter Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruiting efforts from intake through offer, managing concurrent requisitions while maintaining a high level of organization and communication.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to define role requirements, refine job descriptions, and collaboratively design structured and inclusive interview processes.
- Conduct recruiter screens, develop interview questions, and guide hiring teams through panel interviews, debriefs, and evaluation using structured rubrics.
- Coordinate complex interview logistics, including large panel interviews, ensuring a smooth and professional candidate experience.
- Navigate a structured hiring process, including collaboration with compensation teams and alignment with union-related guidelines when applicable.
- Facilitate offer processes by coordinating approvals, ensuring alignment with compensation frameworks, and managing reference checks.
- Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of candidate activity to support transparency, compliance, and reporting needs.
- Contribute to a thoughtful, inclusive hiring approach by supporting equitable practices and fostering diverse candidate pipelines.
Recruiter Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in full-cycle recruiting, ideally within nonprofit, mission-driven, or values-based organizations.
- Demonstrated passion for nonprofit work and alignment with inclusive, equity-focused hiring practices.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent requisitions while staying highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Experience partnering closely with hiring managers in a collaborative, consultative capacity throughout the recruiting process.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to navigate thoughtful and sometimes lengthy interview processes.
- Experience coordinating panel interviews, leading debrief discussions, and utilizing structured evaluation methods.
- Familiarity with compensation alignment processes and exposure to union environments is a plus.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and standard recruiting tools.
