Human Resources Business Partner
Our client is seeking a collaborative and solutions-oriented Human Resources Business Partner to support a dynamic, fast-paced organization. This role serves as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, with a strong emphasis on employee relations, workplace accommodations, and manager coaching. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on, “high-touch” approach and thrives in navigating complex situations with professionalism, sound judgment, and a people-first mindset.

This role is a hybrid model in Boston, Massachusetts.

Human Resources Business Partner Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic partner to leadership, providing guidance on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Lead and manage employee relations matters, including investigations, conflict resolution, and workplace accommodations, ensuring fair and consistent outcomes.
  • Coach and advise managers on handling sensitive employee issues, fostering a positive and compliant work environment.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and internal HR policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Maintain strong visibility across the organization to proactively address concerns and support employee engagement.
  • Partner with HR centers of excellence and cross-functional teams to implement programs, initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Analyze HR and business metrics to identify trends and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Support training efforts and facilitate discussions on HR-related topics to enhance leadership effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with labor relations teams on union-related matters and represented workforce considerations.
  • Contribute to special projects and broader HR initiatives as needed.

Human Resources Business Partner Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 3–6 years of experience in human resources, including generalist or junior HR business partner roles.
  • Demonstrated experience handling employee relations issues, including investigations and workplace accommodations.
  • Experience supporting both represented (union) and non-represented employee populations.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to influence and build trust with leaders and employees at all levels.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to navigate complex and sensitive situations.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and accountability, with a team-oriented mindset.
