ServiceNow ITAM Engineer
Our client is seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow ITAM Engineer to play a critical role in the implementation and optimization of enterprise asset management capabilities. This individual will bring deep functional expertise in IT asset management, partnering cross-functionally to establish scalable processes, ensure data integrity, and drive best practices across hardware, software, and service assets. The ideal candidate is both technically proficient and process-oriented, with a strong ability to translate business needs into effective platform solutions.

This role is fully remote.

ServiceNow ITAM Engineer Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary subject matter expert and functional lead for the ServiceNow IT Asset Management (ITAM) module during implementation.
• Collaborate with internal platform teams and external partners to configure and enhance Software Asset Management (SAM) capabilities.
• Lead the design and rollout of standardized asset management processes across hardware, software, and service environments.
• Establish and maintain a comprehensive Configuration Management Database (CMDB) strategy to support accurate asset tracking and relationships.
• Define and document workflows, discovery rules, normalization standards, and governance practices within the ServiceNow ecosystem.
• Design and implement asset discovery models and processes to improve visibility and lifecycle management of IT assets.

ServiceNow ITAM Engineer Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience working with ServiceNow, with a strong focus on ITAM and/or SAM implementations.
• Proven experience configuring and managing CMDB structures, data models, and asset lifecycle processes.
• Hands-on expertise with ServiceNow ITAM modules, including discovery, normalization, and asset governance.
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions within ServiceNow.
• Experience working cross-functionally with IT, Finance, and external implementation partners.
• Strong documentation skills with a focus on process development, data standards, and governance frameworks.
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and asset management best practices is highly preferred.

Compensation: $110/hr. (DOE)
