Senior Software Engineer
Our client is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a collaborative and highly technical team focused on building advanced software solutions for specialized hardware systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, contributing to product innovation, and delivering high-quality, reliable software in a fast-paced, Agile environment.

This role is a hybrid model in the Portland Oregon Metro Area

Senior Software Engineer Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality application code aligned with defined requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Deliver on sprint commitments with a strong emphasis on quality, performance, and reliability.
• Contribute to the development of user interfaces, data processing capabilities, and real-time system functionality.
• Build and enhance software that interacts with embedded systems and supports complex data acquisition processes.
• Participate in system architecture discussions and contribute to scalable, maintainable design decisions.
• Develop and support automated testing frameworks to ensure software quality and regression coverage.
• Translate product requirements into technical features, user stories, and actionable development tasks.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing systems to improve performance and stability.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and other stakeholders to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

Senior Software Engineer Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field with equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming, particularly with C# and/or C++.
• Experience developing multi-threaded and/or real-time software applications.
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Experience working in Agile or Scrum-based development environments.
• Ability to break down complex requirements into structured development plans.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
• Experience integrating software with hardware systems is highly desirable.
• Exposure to signal processing, advanced mathematics, or data-intensive applications is a plus.
• Familiarity with tools such as MATLAB or similar technical computing environments is a plus.
• Interest or experience in audio technologies or precision measurement systems is preferred.

Salary: $130k-$150k/year + Bonus. (DOE)
