Philanthropy Associate
Our client is seeking a Philanthropy Associate who brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to supporting fundraising initiatives and executive operations. This individual will play a key role in coordinating donor engagement efforts, supporting leadership and board activities, and helping drive meaningful philanthropic impact across the organization. The ideal candidate is highly organized, communicates with professionalism across diverse audiences, and thrives in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

This role is onsite in Vancouver, Washington.

Philanthropy Associate Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to senior leadership by managing complex calendars, coordinating meetings, preparing materials, and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Partner with executives and internal stakeholders to support fundraising strategies, donor stewardship efforts, and philanthropic initiatives.
  • Coordinate board and committee activities, including agenda development, meeting logistics, documentation, and follow-up communications.
  • Assist in planning and executing fundraising campaigns, including employee giving initiatives and donor engagement programs.
  • Support donor relations by preparing correspondence, tracking contributions, maintaining records, and ensuring timely acknowledgments.
  • Organize and support events such as donor recognition activities, board retreats, and educational sessions.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including donors, board members, and community partners.
  • Draft, edit, and manage a variety of communications, reports, and presentations with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Coordinate patient-facing engagement efforts, including participation in gratitude-based programs, while maintaining strict confidentiality standards.
  • Contribute to special projects and strategic initiatives that advance organizational fundraising goals.

Philanthropy Associate Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative, fundraising, or professional office environment with demonstrated project coordination responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to a variety of audiences.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders, including leadership, donors, and board members.
  • High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Experience supporting meetings, events, or campaigns, including logistics coordination and follow-through.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with collaboration and donor management tools (e.g., CRM systems) preferred.
  • Self-starter with strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Prior experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or fundraising environments is preferred.
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience preferred.

Compensation: $20-$25/hr. (DOE)
