Accounts Receivable Specialist
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist who thrives in a collaborative, remote environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records. This role is ideal for a dependable accounting professional who communicates clearly, follows through on tasks, and enjoys supporting a small team with a variety of accounting responsibilities. The ideal candidate brings strong organizational skills, a proactive mindset, and the flexibility to assist across multiple accounting functions.
This role is fully remote. Applicants must be able to commute to Hood River, Oregon area for occasional meetings.
Accounts Receivable Specialist Responsibilities
- Manage accounts receivable activities including invoicing, posting payments, and maintaining accurate customer account records.
- Follow up with customers on outstanding or missed invoices to ensure timely payment and resolve discrepancies.
- Process and track employee expense reimbursement requests using spreadsheets and internal processes.
- Assist with account reconciliation, reporting, and general accounting support in collaboration with the Accounting Manager.
- Provide backup support for accounts payable and contribute to administrative or accounting tasks as needed.
Accounts Receivable Specialist Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or related accounting functions; High school diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting a plus.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar financial platforms.
- Strong Excel skills with the ability to manage spreadsheets and track financial data accurately.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Background in manufacturing accounting and familiarity with general accounting principles preferred.
Compensation: $30-$40/hr. (DOE)
