Accounts Payable Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead a remote accounts payable function while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong financial controls. This role is ideal for a collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys improving processes, and builds strong relationships across teams and vendors. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to guide a team while maintaining high standards of financial accuracy and compliance.

This role is fully remote. Applicants must reside in the Portland Metro Area.

Accounts Payable Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day accounts payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and financial transactions.
  • Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate accounts payable staff while fostering a high-performing and collaborative remote team environment.
  • Maintain accurate vendor records and oversee vendor management activities, including payment reconciliation, 1099 reporting, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop, implement, and improve departmental processes, policies, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and financial accuracy.
  • Partner cross-functionally with accounting, finance, and external vendors to resolve issues, meet deadlines, and support reporting requirements.

Accounts Payable Manager Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing accounts payable operations, including supervising staff in a remote work environment.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable procedures, and financial compliance requirements.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise accounting systems, with NetSuite experience strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the use of formulas, lookups, and pivot tables, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and G-Suite.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage priorities and build effective internal and external relationships.

Compensation: $43.50-$50.50/hr. (DOE)
