Epic Beaker AP Analyst
Our client is seeking a knowledgeable Epic Beaker AP Analyst to support the implementation and optimization of laboratory information systems within a complex healthcare environment. This role will work closely with clinical, operational, and IT stakeholders to translate laboratory workflows into effective system configurations, supporting the full lifecycle of Epic Beaker AP implementations. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, hands-on Epic build experience, and the ability to guide teams through testing and go-live readiness.
This role is primarily remote with periodic travel to Boston, Massachusetts. Travel is expected approximately once per month. Candidates located on the East Coast are preferred.
Epic Beaker AP Analyst Responsibilities
- Lead workflow analysis and translate laboratory operational requirements into Epic Beaker AP system configurations.
- Design, build, and maintain Epic Beaker AP functionality to support laboratory workflows and operational needs.
- Participate in full-cycle implementation activities including system configuration, validation testing, and go-live preparation.
- Develop and execute system testing strategies to ensure accuracy, functionality, and reliability of Beaker AP modules.
- Collaborate with clinical teams, IT staff, and external vendors to ensure effective system integration and user adoption.
- Provide support during go-live events and stabilization periods, addressing system issues and optimizing workflows.
- Document system configurations, workflows, and technical processes to support long-term system maintenance.
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure technology solutions align with operational goals.
Epic Beaker AP Analyst Qualifications
- Epic Beaker AP certification required.
- Prior experience supporting a full lifecycle Epic Beaker AP implementation.
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least 2+ years of experience in systems analysis, healthcare IT, or a related technical role supporting enterprise systems.
- Experience analyzing business workflows and translating them into system configurations.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex system issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with system testing methodologies, documentation standards, and cross-functional project environments.
- Experience with process improvement initiatives or healthcare system optimization is a plus.
- Knowledge of HL7 integrations or related healthcare data exchange standards is preferred.
