Retail Assortment Planner
Our client is seeking a data-driven Retail Assortment Planner who combines strong analytical thinking with collaborative problem-solving to support strategic product planning initiatives. This individual will help translate complex data into actionable insights while partnering cross-functionally to build thoughtful assortments that support business growth. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working in fast-paced retail environments, and skilled at balancing financial discipline with consumer-focused planning.

This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.

Retail Assortment Planner Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain seasonal assortment and product plans using data-driven insights to support sales, margin, and inventory objectives.
  • Build and manage bottom-up forecasts at the style and product level to support long-range planning and in-season business performance.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams including merchandising, marketplace planning, and regional planning groups to align product strategies and planning decisions.
  • Analyze business performance through regular reporting and recaps, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve forecast accuracy and assortment performance.
  • Support inventory and supply planning processes by collaborating with internal teams to maintain healthy inventory levels and optimize product availability.

Retail Assortment Planner Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in retail planning, assortment planning, merchandising planning, or a related analytical planning function.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to analyze and communicate data effectively.
  • Previous experience working within a well-known apparel or retail organization supporting product or assortment planning activities.
  • Demonstrated understanding of inventory planning, forecasting methodologies, and retail performance metrics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, merchandising, or a related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

Compensation: Up to $47.89/hr. (DOE)
