Associate Business Systems Analyst
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Associate Business Systems Analyst to support complex, data-driven projects within a highly regulated environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys translating business needs into clear technical requirements and collaborating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate combines analytical thinking, strong communication skills, and a disciplined approach to documentation and data analysis.

This role is fully remote. Applicants must work PST hours.

Associate Business Systems Analyst Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze business requirements, translating functional needs into clear technical specifications and documentation for development teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure business rules are accurately reflected in system solutions.
  • Design and document data mappings and transformation logic to support data processing and ETL workflows.
  • Use tools such as SQL, Excel, and related data platforms to review datasets, validate outputs, and ensure requirements are properly implemented.
  • Support testing and quality assurance activities, including defining test strategies and assisting with user acceptance testing to confirm expected outcomes.

Associate Business Systems Analyst Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience gathering business requirements or supporting technical documentation in a data-driven environment.
  • Working knowledge of SQL or similar query languages, with the ability to understand database structures and query logic.
  • Experience translating complex business rules into structured technical requirements and process documentation.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills, with high attention to detail and the ability to work in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.

Compensation: $24-$29/hr. (DOE)
