Social Media Manager
Our client is seeking a Social Media Manager to lead and elevate their global social presence across key platforms. This individual will shape compelling, culture-forward content, build engaged communities, and drive brand storytelling in ways that resonate with today’s digitally native audiences. The ideal candidate is deeply immersed in social culture, understands performance metrics, and thrives at the intersection of creativity and strategy.
This role is a hybrid model in Boston, Massachusetts.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute social-first content strategies across Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube.
- Conceptualize and create engaging content aligned to major brand stories and cultural moments.
- Oversee publishing and daily management of global social channels, ensuring content accuracy, optimization, and brand consistency.
- Manage community engagement by monitoring conversations, responding to followers, and fostering authentic interactions.
- Conduct ongoing social listening to identify trends, sentiment shifts, and real-time engagement opportunities.
- Maintain and evolve brand tone of voice across platforms to ensure alignment with overall brand positioning.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with brand, creative, communications, and agency partners to deliver cohesive campaigns.
- Track performance metrics and provide insights to continuously optimize content strategy and engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 5+ years of experience in a senior-level social media role supporting leading consumer or cultural brands.
- Expert-level knowledge of Instagram, TikTok, X, and YouTube, including platform best practices and emerging trends.
- Deep understanding of Gen Z culture and the role social media plays across fashion, sports, music, art, and pop culture.
- Proven experience building and managing highly engaged brand communities.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to adapt tone and voice authentically to brand identity.
- High creative standards with exceptional attention to detail.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Passion for sport and lifestyle brands, with a strong appreciation for culture-driven storytelling.
Preferred
- Experience working with global or multi-regional brand teams.
- Background in streetwear, fashion, sports, or youth culture-driven industries.
- Demonstrated success growing social channels through innovative, culturally relevant content.
Compensation: Up to $50/hr. (DOE)
