Non-Profit Accounting Analyst
Our non-profit client is seeking an experience accountant who combines strong technical fund accounting expertise with a collaborative, service-oriented mindset. This role is ideal for a detail-driven professional who exercises sound judgment, communicates financial information clearly to diverse stakeholders, and values work/life balance. The successful candidate will bring deep experience in non-profit accounting and a deep commitment to advocacy for marginalized communities in Oregon.
This role is onsite 4 days per week (M-Th) in Portland, Oregon.
Non-Profit Accounting Analyst Responsibilities
- Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements, while monitoring and analyzing departmental and program budgets.
- Lead grant and fund tracking activities, ensuring compliance with funding requirements and reporting timelines.
- Develop and provide accurate financial data to support grant proposals and grant reports in partnership with fund development teams.
- Support month-end close processes, including preparing and posting journal entries in accordance with GAAP and fund accounting principles.
- Assist with annual and single audit preparation, including running reports and providing required documentation to auditors.
Non-Profit Accounting Analyst Qualifications
- 5 or more years of experience in non-profit fund or grant accounting.
- 5 or more years of experience supporting single audit preparation.
- Experience with MIP accounting software is required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and non-profit fund accounting practices.
- Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
Pay: $36/hr
