HR Leave & Accommodation Analyst
Our client is seeking an HR Leave & Accommodation Analyst who brings strong judgment, empathy, and attention to detail to a highly employee-facing function. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable navigating sensitive situations, interpreting policies and regulations, and delivering a consistent, compliant employee experience. The right candidate thrives in a structured yet fast-moving environment and communicates clearly with employees, leaders, and external partners.
This role is fully remote and will work PST hours.
HR Leave & Accommodation Analyst Responsibilities
- Administer employee leave and accommodation cases from initial intake through resolution, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with applicable regulations and internal policies.
- Lead pregnancy-related accommodation and general accommodation requests, including managing the interactive process, documentation review, and ongoing case support.
- Evaluate leave eligibility, coordinate required documentation, respond to employee and manager inquiries, and maintain thorough case records within the HRIS platform.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to support disability, leave, and workplace accommodation processes while adhering to required timelines and service standards.
- Provide guidance on moderately complex cases and escalate higher-risk situations as appropriate, maintaining discretion and sound judgment.
- Support policy and process improvement initiatives, audits, and system testing activities related to leave and accommodation workflows.
- Contribute to reporting, data tracking, and inbox management activities to ensure smooth day-to-day operations for the broader HR support function.
HR Leave & Accommodation Analyst Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience supporting leave of absence, absence management, or workplace accommodation programs.
- Direct experience managing accommodation intake and the interactive process, including pregnancy-related accommodations.
- Working knowledge of applicable leave and accommodation regulations and the ability to apply policies in a practical, employee-focused manner.
- Experience using HRIS platforms for case tracking and data entry; Workday experience preferred.
- Familiarity with Excel for basic tracking, reporting, or data review activities.
- Experience supporting state-specific paid leave or paid sick leave programs preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases and competing priorities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service-oriented mindset.
- High level of discretion and comfort handling sensitive and confidential employee information.
- High School Diploma required; additional education in HR, business, or a related field preferred.
