Technical Designer – Apparel
This role is ideal for a seasoned technical expert who thrives at the intersection of precision, fit, and performance. The ideal candidate brings deep pattern-making expertise, a collaborative mindset, and the confidence to translate design concepts into technically sound, athlete-ready garments. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, clear documentation habits, and the ability to partner cross-functionally while representing the brand with professionalism.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Technical Designer – Apparel Responsibilities
- Create and refine technical garment patterns from designer sketches, ensuring accurate construction and fit.
- Lead pattern development and adjustments for women’s athletic apparel, with a strong emphasis on knits.
- Conduct fit evaluations and functional assessments, incorporating feedback into pattern revisions.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including measurements and construction details.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners and provide coverage support across multiple performance categories.
Technical Designer – Apparel Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Designer with hands-on pattern creation and adjustment expertise.
- Proven ability to build patterns from scratch and modify existing patterns for women’s apparel.
- 5+ years of experience working with women’s athletic or performance wear.
- Strong knowledge of knit garment construction; experience with wovens is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to represent the brand in functional or athlete-facing settings.
Compensation: Up to $48/hr. (DOE)
