Project Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the delivery of an ongoing risk adjustment initiative within a highly regulated government healthcare environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on, execution-focused Project Manager with deep familiarity in risk adjustment, Medicare or other government health programs, and a background in strategy consulting or advisory work. The successful candidate will bring structure, analytical rigor, and confidence from day one, partnering closely with cross-functional leaders to navigate complex regulatory requirements and non-negotiable deadlines.

This role is fully remote. Applicants must reside in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Utah, or North Dakota.

Project Manager Responsibilities

  • Lead project management efforts for a large-scale healthcare risk adjustment initiative, ensuring alignment with government mandates, regulatory requirements, and organizational priorities.
  • Establish clear project structure, governance, and execution plans, quickly building trust and credibility with senior stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Develop, maintain, and actively manage detailed project schedules to identify dependencies, anticipate risks, and drive timely delivery across multiple workstreams.
  • Partner closely with business, clinical, technical, and operational leaders within government health programs to align scope, timelines, and expectations.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to risk adjustment outcomes, compliance exposure, data dependencies, and evolving regulatory guidance.
  • Apply a strategic, consulting-oriented mindset to problem solving, supporting analysis, recommendations, and decision-making in ambiguous or fast-moving environments.
  • Provide clear, concise status updates, insights, and recommendations to leadership, enabling informed decisions tied to external deadlines and oversight requirements.
  • Support additional project or program initiatives within the government healthcare space as needed, flexing across priorities while maintaining execution discipline.

Project Manager Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive project or program management experience, preferably within regulated healthcare or government health program environments.
  • Demonstrated familiarity with healthcare risk adjustment concepts, Medicare, or other government-mandated healthcare programs.
  • Prior experience in strategy consulting, advisory services, or a strategy-focused internal role, with the ability to translate analysis into execution.
  • Proven success managing initiatives tied to external, non-negotiable deadlines, including regulatory submissions, audits, or government reporting.
  • Advanced proficiency with project scheduling tools and methodologies, using schedules as an active management and forecasting tool.
  • Strong ability to establish authority, drive clarity, and guide teams through complexity, ambiguity, and shifting requirements.
  • PMP or equivalent project management certification strongly preferred.
