Retail Business Planning Lead
Our client is seeking a strategic, data-driven planning leader who thrives in highly matrixed environments and brings equal parts analytical rigor and relationship savvy. This individual will play a pivotal role in translating consumer demand, financial targets, and marketplace dynamics into actionable, multi-season plans. The ideal candidate is commercially minded, naturally curious, and energized by collaborating across complex organizations to drive results at scale.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Retail Business Planning Lead Responsibilities
- Lead multi-season operating and financial plans aligned to consumer demand, product strategies, and marketplace priorities.
- Establish and manage top-down financial targets across revenue, margin, inventory, and demand at multiple planning levels.
- Partner cross-functionally to align forecasts, reconcile assortment plans, and support informed decision-making.
- Analyze retail performance and in-season trends to adjust plans and optimize inventory and marketplace health.
- Translate complex data into clear insights, recommendations, and trade-off scenarios for leadership.
Retail Business Planning Lead Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in retail planning, merchandising, business planning, or related fields.
- Advanced Excel skills with strong numerical fluency and comfort working with large, complex datasets.
- Deep understanding of core retail metrics, including sales, sell-through, weeks of supply, inventory, revenue, and margin.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and influencing skills in highly matrixed environments.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
Compensation: Up to $47.89/hr. (DOE)
