Program Manager
Our client is seeking a Program Manager to lead a large, enterprise-level initiative involving the transition of its Clinical Engineering function to an external partner. This role will be responsible for rapidly establishing program structure, governance, and execution frameworks for a high-visibility initiative that has already been approved and is moving forward. This position requires a seasoned program leader who is comfortable operating at the executive level, partnering with internal subject matter experts and external vendor leadership, and driving coordination across multiple complex workstreams.
This role is fully remote. Applicants located in WA, OR, CA, AK, MT, TX, or NM are highly preferred.
Program Manager Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership for a large-scale Clinical Engineering outsourcing program, ensuring alignment across internal stakeholders and external vendor teams.
- Establish foundational program structures, including program charter, governance model, workstreams, and integrated program plans.
- Lead executive-level engagement, including steering committees, leadership readouts, and regular program status reporting.
- Partner closely with Clinical Engineering leadership, operational teams, IT, finance, and other internal stakeholders to drive coordinated execution.
- Serve as the primary point of integration between internal teams and the vendor’s program and project management leadership.
- Identify and manage program-level risks, dependencies, issues, and decision points across concurrent workstreams.
- Develop and maintain clear program reporting, dashboards, and documentation to support transparency and executive decision-making.
- Drive accountability and momentum across teams while navigating ambiguity and evolving priorities.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure program milestones, timelines, and outcomes are achieved.
- Support continuous alignment between strategic objectives and day-to-day execution throughout the program lifecycle.
Program Manager Qualifications
- Extensive experience leading large, complex, enterprise-level programs, ideally within healthcare, divestitures, or similarly regulated environments.
- Demonstrated expertise in program management, including governance design, charter development, workstream leadership, and executive engagement.
- Proven experience managing initiatives involving third-party vendors, such as outsourcing, large transformations, or operating model changes.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and confidently with senior leadership.
- Ability to quickly create structure in fast-moving, high-visibility situations and drive execution with minimal direction.
- Exceptional stakeholder management, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Experience working across operational, technical, and business teams in complex organizational environments.
- Strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to balance strategic oversight with tactical execution.
