Senior Merchandise Planner
Our client is seeking a strategic, collaborative merchandise planning professional to support North America soccer forecasting during a key coverage period. The ideal candidate blends strong analytical rigor with clear storytelling, partnering cross-functionally to translate data into actionable plans that balance profitability, inventory health, and consumer demand. This role is well-suited for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments and enjoys influencing outcomes through insight and partnership.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Senior Merchandise Planner Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain seasonal and in-season demand forecasts for footwear (and select apparel) across the North America soccer marketplace
- Build bottom-up assortment and inventory plans at the style/color level to support financial and consumer objectives
- Analyze forecast variance, risks, and opportunities, delivering clear action plans and recommendations to stakeholders
- Partner cross-functionally with merchandising, sales, finance, and planning teams to optimize product performance throughout the lifecycle
- Present forecasts, business recaps, and insights in a clear, compelling way to support informed decision-making
Senior Merchandise Planner Qualifications
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in demand planning, assortment planning, or merchandise planning
- Advanced Excel skills with strong retail math and analytical capability
- Experience using planning or forecasting tools beyond Excel (preferred)
- Strong communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; equivalent experience considered
Compensation: Up to $47.89/hr. (DOE)
