Retail Design Coordinator
Our client is seeking a Retail Design Coordinator to assist their organization. As the Retail Design Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in operationalizing our client's retail concept designs and strategies across diverse global markets. Working closely with our cross-functional teams, you will ensure the seamless execution of brand-right retail spaces, from design conceptualization to launch. Your expertise in spatial planning, project management, and retail environments will be crucial in driving the success of our retail initiatives.

This role is a hybrid model in Boston, Massachusetts.

Retail Design Coordinator Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams and cross-functional partners to gather inputs and requirements for retail concept designs.
• Evaluate concept designs for efficiencies and alignment with brand standards and financial guidelines.
• Provide insights and recommendations to enhance concept designs and strategies.
• Assist in the development and launch of new retail concepts, providing consultation and guidance throughout the design process.
• Support remodels and floor plan reviews, ensuring optimal spatial design and fixture integration.
• Coordinate with vendors and agencies to facilitate the execution of pilot projects.
• Develop a comprehensive operational guide for executing new retail concepts, encompassing strategic approaches, buildout cost philosophy, and global materials catalog.
• Establish financial guardrails and guidelines to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
• Provide guidance on spatial planning of fixtures in retail spaces to enhance productivity and consumer experience.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and synergy in retail concept execution.
• Liaise with design agencies to coordinate concept development efforts while ensuring compliance with brand standards.

Retail Design Coordinator Qualifications

• Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as SketchUp and Fusion 360.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Background in construction or retail environments, with knowledge of fixture/furniture development and design.
• Experience in budget management within a retail context is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Smartsheet, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive innovative retail concepts and solutions.
• Experience in agency and vendor management.
• Event design and execution experience.
• Must have a strategic design mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.

Compensation: $35.77-$45.77/hr. (DOE)
