Vice President of Supply Chain
Our client is seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to fill the position of Vice President of Supply Chain. This individual will oversee all aspects of supply chain operations, including procurement, planning, and customer service, to support the organization’s growth and evolving needs. This role offers a unique opportunity to innovate and optimize processes in a fast-paced, food manufacturing environment.

This role is onsite in McMinnville, Oregon.

Vice President of Supply Chain Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for supply chain operations, including purchasing, inventory management, planning, and customer service, ensuring seamless integration with production goals.
• Directly supervise teams in procurement, inventory control, warehouse management, shipping, and receiving.
• Develop and execute strategies to optimize procurement, warehouse operations, and distribution processes while addressing resource and logistical constraints.
• Oversee contract negotiations with suppliers, ensuring quality, consistency, and cost-effectiveness in the procurement of raw materials.
• Lead a growing supply chain team with a focus on talent development, performance management, and scaling operations.
• Analyze and address operational challenges, such as staffing shortages and facility constraints, while implementing creative solutions for product flow.
• Drive SAP system enhancements and integrations to streamline supply chain operations and support business expansion.
• Manage the addition of new warehouses and optimize transportation routes to improve efficiency and cost savings.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve supply chain performance, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product launches, R&D efforts, and engineering changes, ensuring smooth transitions.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, maintaining high standards for food safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Vice President of Supply Chain Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Extensive experience in supply chain operations within the food manufacturing industry.
• Proven success in scaling operations within a fast-growing company.
• Expertise with ERP/MRP systems, with a strong preference for SAP experience.
• Demonstrated ability to address and resolve resource constraints and logistical challenges creatively.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and grow a high-performing team.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills, capable of building positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost savings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant tools for supply chain operations.

Salary: $200k-$230k/year. (DOE)
