This Role is Fully Remote.
Our client is seeking a Tableau Developer to assist their organization remotely in Beaverton, Oregon.
Tableau Developer Responsibilities
Duties Creates, evaluates and modifies prototypes to support evolving solution development.
Develops and publishes dashboards and other BI solutions to support supply chain initiatives and projects.
Creates extracts and refresh schedules as needed.
Provides product usability, evaluation and support to product development teams, including the analysis and investigation of applications/systems including tactile methods, visual graphics, web, multimedia, voice response and conversational user interaction.
Assists in developing design concept and implementation, providing input on user design considerations.
May produce specifications describing user requirements and internal structures for product in development.
Participates in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and demos for business stakeholders.
Supports dashboards and data sources developed by others.
Assists users with dashboard functionality.
Assists users with permissions and access.
Assists Data Analysts and Data Analytics Managers with data preparation and queries.
Tableau Developer Qualifications
Tableau Desktop dashboard development, including publishing dashboards and data sources to Tableau Server
Experience with a variety of visualization techniques (bar charts, line charts, scatter plots, heat maps, geographic, etc.)
Extensive knowledge of Facts, Attributes, Hierarchies , filters, Calculated fields, Sets , Groups, Parameters etc., in Tableau
Working knowledge of processes for continuous integration, code merging and branch management including revision control SW (examples: Jenkins, Bamboo, GIT, SVN)
Working knowledge of build process and automation and deploy processes and automation (Maven, GO, Ant, GIT)
SQL experience, with preference for expertise in Snowflake, Teradata and Microsoft SQL Server
Bachelor’s degree in Business, CS, or equivalent and 6+ years tech exp in specific applications or business exp that includes working closely with IT.
