SWIFT Infrastructure Support Engineer
Our client is seeking a SWIFT Infrastructure Support Engineer to serve as a subject matter expert for critical financial messaging systems. This individual will play a key role in supporting and modernizing infrastructure that enables secure and reliable communication across internal systems and external partners. The role is embedded in a collaborative, agile team environment focused on continuous improvement and innovation in a fast-paced, highly regulated space.

This role is a hybrid model. Candidates must be located and able to work a hybrid model in Reston, Virginia or Plano, Texas.

SWIFT Infrastructure Support Engineer Responsibilities

• Provide specialized support for SWIFT technologies including Alliance Cloud, Access, Gateway, and Web Platform, as well as related components such as HSM and Alliance Connect.
• Collaborate on cloud migration efforts for on-premise infrastructure, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and security standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operating system and messaging middleware issues across Linux and Unix environments.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python for system health checks, deployments, and monitoring.
• Interface with agile teams and stakeholders to deliver reliable, compliant infrastructure solutions.
• Maintain technical documentation using platforms such as Confluence and SharePoint.
• Support middleware and messaging technologies including IBM MQ, AWS SQS/SNS, and REST APIs.

SWIFT Infrastructure Support Engineer Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience supporting SWIFT infrastructure and services.
• At least 2 years of experience working with Linux and Unix systems in a production environment.
• Proven experience with cloud platforms and infrastructure migrations from on-premise environments.
• Proficiency in Python programming with a focus on automation and object-oriented development.
• Familiarity with middleware/messaging technologies such as IBM MQ, SQS/SNS.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA.
• Comfortable with SQL, XML, Excel, and working with REST APIs.

Salary: $121K–$158K/year. (DOE)
