Sr. Procurement Specialist
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Sr. Procurement Specialist to lead complex sourcing and contract negotiations supporting critical manufacturing operations. This role partners closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive supplier performance, cost optimization, and risk mitigation in a fast-paced, regulated environment. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial judgment, ERP fluency, and proven success negotiating supplier agreements within manufacturing settings.

This role is onsite in McMinnville, Oregon.

Sr. Procurement Specialist Responsibilities

  • Lead contract negotiations with suppliers, including pricing, terms, service levels, and risk provisions, to achieve favorable commercial outcomes.
  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for raw materials, packaging, and indirect spend aligned with operational and financial objectives.
  • Evaluate, select, and manage suppliers based on cost, quality, reliability, and performance metrics.
  • Partner with legal, finance, operations, and quality teams to ensure contracts and purchasing decisions align with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize ERP systems (preferably SAP) to manage procurement transactions, supplier data, and reporting.
  • Identify and implement cost-reduction opportunities through renegotiation, supplier consolidation, and process improvements.
  • Monitor market conditions, commodity trends, and supply risks to inform sourcing and negotiation strategies.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, contract compliance, and audit-ready procurement records.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to support long-term collaboration and continuity of supply.

Sr. Procurement Specialist Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive procurement or sourcing experience, with a strong emphasis on contract negotiation.
  • Demonstrated success negotiating complex supplier agreements in manufacturing environments.
  • ERP experience required, with SAP strongly preferred; Oracle experience also considered.
  • Manufacturing industry experience required; food manufacturing experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance cost, quality, risk, and service considerations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Salary: $110K-$130K/year.
