Senior Technical Accountant – SOX Compliance & SEC Reporting
Our innovative client seeks a dynamic and proactive Senior Technical Accountant to support their team, playing a pivotal role in the development of their SOX compliance program. This role will also assist in the preparation of SEC filings and financial disclosures, which requires a keen eye for detail and a strong ability to drive process improvements. Senior Technical Accountant Responsibilities
- Lead development of the Company’s SOX compliance program.
- Manage and coordinate ongoing SOX program, including liaising with third-party consultants.
- Work closely with IT teams on ITAC/ITGC testing and ensure proper integration with financial controls.
- Educate business process owners through training sessions on compliance requirements.
- Support preparation of 10-Q and 10-K filings, including financial statements and footnote disclosures.
Senior Technical Accountant Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; advanced degree or CPA/CMA a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a SOX-compliant environment.
- Expertise in process improvement, with hands-on experience using MS Dynamics, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong ability to analyze financial data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Salary: $100k-$120k (DOE)
