Senior Tax Accountant
Our client seeks a dedicated full-time Senior Tax Accountant to join their team! This is a stellar opportunity to join an employee-centric organization with over 25 years of service.

This is a hybrid role requiring qualified applicants to commute weekly to offices in Rochester, New York.

Senior Tax Accountant Responsibilities

• Process tax transactions for sales & use, motor vehicle, special fuel/petroleum, and Federal Excise taxes.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and tax filings ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Create and maintain accounting schedules.
• Perform research to maintain current knowledge of state/federal tax legislation.
• Provide additional accounting support and mentorship as needed.

Senior Tax Accountant Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred.
• 5 years of progressive tax and accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of state/federal tax regulations.
• Proficient with tax software and MS Office Suite including intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Deadline-driven with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.

Salary: $75k-$85k (DOE)
