Senior Structural Engineer
The Senior Structural Engineer serves to lead engineering design projects. This leader will collaborate with a broader team of engineering professionals to provide design solutions to industrial clients nationally and internationally.

This is an onsite position in Merritt Island/FL.

Senior Structural Engineer Responsibilities:
Provide high level technical services to clients for their projects and technical support requirements.
Provide technical and administrative direction, policy support and mentoring to junior engineers and staff.
Plan, direct, supervise and otherwise support client projects from proposal to completion. Make decisions at a technical and quality required to support attainment of the company’s goals for customer satisfaction and meet corporate earnings objectives.
Identify, formulate, and initiate solutions to complex problems requiring single discipline involvement and single discipline analytical tools.
Understand, analyze, and construct system architectures and system component relationships.
Perform required work activities on an individual basis or within a project team with no need for supervision. Lead, facilitate and coordinate work activity of others including other employees, customers, suppliers and alliances at the project, office, or client level.
Coordinate work activities that affect the quality of administration, proposals, engineering & design, document control, inspection & testing, and commissioning in accordance with the company’s Quality Assurance Program.
Interpret codes and standards and apply them to design.
Identify and resolve routine problems that involve the use of conflicting or incomplete information.
Promote new concepts and approaches.
Develop, review, recommend and implement plans that involve scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation and project controls.
Plan and schedule project activities using planning and scheduling tools.
Recognize the need for and initiate corrective action to address shortcomings in design or engineering processes that run counter to customer’s or the company’s quality or safety requirements. Conduct root cause assessments and recommend practical solutions to underlying problems.
Perform, supervise, and review complex calculations.
Review design output and analyses.
Conduct or direct others for on-site systems and facilities inspections for customers.
Provide project supervision and monitor progress C.
Provide training and mentoring for subordinate technical staff and take an active role in personnel development through seeking out client perspectives on the products personnel and services rendered.
Actively participate in the Employee Assessment & Development process.
Begin to establish credibility and competence with clients on technical issues and possess well-developed personal and presentation skills.
Make technical assessments and design decisions involving uncertainty and risk.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned or deemed appropriate of the position by management.
Prepare technical reports to supervisors, management, and clients.

Senior Structural Engineer Qualifications:
You have a bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering (Masters Preferred).
You have a minimum of 10+ years’ experience in structural design and project management.
You are a licensed PE.
You have demonstrated success in managing projects and teams.
You have experience working with clients and developing proposals for obtaining new work.

Skills/Abilities:
Energetic, positive, solution oriented, and self-motivated.
Experienced in executing strategic initiatives and tactical daily responsibilities.
Ability to prioritize and complete work in a timely manner in a deadline driven environment without active supervision is critical, but similarly important is knowing when to ask for help.
Critical thinker with innovative problem-solving skills
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Demonstrated effective oral, analytical, writing, and presentation skills with senior leadership.
Ability to manage a variety of job specific projects, while maintaining appropriate levels of service in existing programs and meet the demands of a constantly changing environment.

Salary: $100,000k-$130,000k/yr. (DOE)
