Senior Leader, Global Benefits
Our client is looking for a Senior Leader, Global Benefits to join our global benefits team! The Senior Leader, Benefits is an individual contributor in the Global Rewards team to drive forward their global benefits strategy. This role is responsible for international retirement and benefit plans, data analytics/metrics, and supports global wellbeing, and U.S. benefit plans, as necessary.
This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical, data-driven individual to make an impact with a global company. The Senior Leader, Benefits will prepare detailed analysis and metrics related to their global benefit offerings. The Senior Leader, Benefits will be instrumental in planning, developing, overseeing, and redesigning company benefits plans with an eye for positive employee experience, plan competitiveness and operational effectiveness.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Work with the Director of Global Benefits in the analysis, implementation, administration, and communication of the company's international retirement and benefit plans regarding plan design, policy features, enrollment, administration, compliance, and other requirements.
Act as a project manager on complex and innovative benefit initiatives such as pension plan design reviews and annual benefit renewals in countries outside of the US, and other strategic and operational projects.
Prepares executive summaries of renewals, benefit plan performance, and recommendations to present to the management team.
Partners with local HR Business Partners to implement and execute the operational aspects of benefits delivery outside of the US with a passion for impacting a positive employee experience.
Responsible for global benefits analysis and reporting activities such as data modeling, developing, and maintaining metrics and KPI's, worksheet applications, and navigating and integrating reports from various information systems, and vendors to evaluate costs and competitiveness, identify trends and risks, ensure legislative compliance, determine, and recommend appropriate strategic plan design changes and/or opportunities or risk mitigation strategies.
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to help develop and monitor and analyze the company’s global benefits and fringe expense budget.
Assesses current benefit programs, market, and cultural trends, legislative, tax and social changes that impact company programs to make plan roadmap recommendations.
Monitor benefit programs to ensure adherence to internal policies and external legislation including compliance of all regional and country legislation.
Assesses operational procedures and creates and recommends and implements improvements to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
Assists with oversight of retirement plans around the world and prepares and delivers analysis, reports, and recommendations to retirement governance committees.
Responds to surveys and analyzes market data to determine company’s competitive position in employee benefits.
Works closely with global consultants and vendors on a regular basis.
Supports RFP process and implementations, as necessary.
Extracts data and reporting from global benefit broker database.
Supports global wellbeing initiatives and strategy.
Play a key role in managing benefit plan transitions for acquisitions and divestitures.
Organize, plan, and deliver training for HR, managers & employees on any benefit plan or program.
Qualifications – External Experience:
This position requires a minimum of 7-10 years of related benefits experience.
Working knowledge of global retirement plans and health and welfare plans and their compliance, and administration required.
Advanced experience in Excel, PowerPoint, and other business intelligence tools in the analysis, preparation, and presentation of plan information, data, and metrics.
Global benefits experience is required.
Actuarial science background is a plus.
Education: Bachelor's degree in related field, such as Actuarial Science, Business, Economics or Mathematics is required.
Travel: 1 – 10%
Location: hybrid/remote- Liberty Lake, WA, Austin, TX, Raleigh, NC, San Jose, CA
Salary: $135,000k-$180,000k/yr. (DOE)
