Senior IT Auditor
Our client is seeking a Senior IT Auditor to assist their organization.

This role is fully remote.

Senior IT Auditor Responsibilities

  • Evaluate business processes to ensure efficient & effective internal controls.
  • Execute audit test procedures while ensuring both IA management & auditees are kept apprised of status.
  • Identify and validate potential audit findings with IA management and auditee(s).
  • Document work performed in accordance with departmental standards in a manner that ensures audit objectives are fully satisfied and supported by adequate audit testing evidence.
  • Facilitate an efficient peer review and address/close all peer review comments.
  • Draft an audit report which summarizes overall audit results/conclusion.
  • Apply professional standards in compliance with Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (IIA).

This project will require independent testing of operational controls in the continuous monitoring area including controls that are designed to:

  • Prevent malicious emails, such as spam and phishing emails.
  • Prohibit network communication with known or suspected malicious internet addresses/protocols.
  • Prevent users and devices from accessing known or suspected malicious web domains.
  • Blocking, monitoring, and preventing unauthorized code, including macro scripts, from executing.
  • Audit unauthorized access to internet domains and addresses.
  • Continuously log, collect, and analyze data for potential intrusions and anomalous behavior.

Senior IT Auditor Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related discipline.
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Minimum of 5 years prior IT Auditing experience.
  • Prior experience in assessing and implementing NIST controls.
  • Ability to work independently and self-manage with limited oversight.
  • Ability to work very effectively in a highly collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills with all levels of employees.
  • Ability to communicate technical information in a simplified manner oriented toward non-technical audiences & business impacts.
  • Demonstrated skill in multi-tasking, organizing, and managing time effectively to meet deadlines and balance priorities.
  • Proven ability to document one's work in accordance with quality assurance standards & practices.

Compensation: $65-$75/hr. (DOE)
