Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Our client is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team. This position will play a key role in supporting geotechnical projects across the energy, commercial, and municipal sectors. The ideal candidate will bring technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a collaborative mindset to help drive the firm’s continued success.

This role is onsite in Bend, Oregon.

Senior Geotechnical Engineer Responsibilities

  • Conduct geotechnical investigations, including site assessments, soil and rock sampling, and laboratory testing.
  • Perform geotechnical analyses such as slope stability assessments, settlement evaluations, and foundation design recommendations.
  • Develop comprehensive geotechnical reports, including findings, recommendations, and design parameters.
  • Provide oversight and mentorship to junior engineers, reviewing work and ensuring technical accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to develop cost-effective and sustainable engineering solutions.
  • Participate in project management activities, including proposal preparation, budget tracking, and billing management.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Support construction efforts through technical guidance, field inspections, and construction materials testing.

Senior Geotechnical Engineer Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Oregon, or Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with the ability to obtain P.E. within six months.
  • Minimum of 2 years of geotechnical engineering experience.
  • Background in civil, structural, or materials testing preferred.
  • Proficiency in geotechnical software such as gINT, Slope/W, and similar programs.
  • Strong understanding of soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and geotechnical principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively with diverse teams.

Salary: $90-110K/yr. (DOE)
