Senior Frontend Engineer (React / Next.js)
Our client is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer (React / Next.js) to support the design, development, and launch of a high-visibility hybrid mobile application supporting a large-scale event experience. This role focuses on building polished, scalable front-end experiences on top of an established platform foundation, while collaborating closely with design, product, and engineering partners to deliver a seamless attendee journey.

This role is fully remote.

Senior Frontend Engineer (React / Next.js) Responsibilities

• Lead the development of complex, production-ready front-end features using React and Next.js to support a hybrid mobile application.
• Build scalable, maintainable UI components leveraging modern React patterns, hooks, and advanced state management.
• Implement server-side rendering, routing strategies, and performance optimizations using Next.js capabilities.
• Translate design systems and Figma specifications into accessible, reusable, and responsive components.
• Integrate front-end applications with REST and GraphQL APIs and support platform-level integrations.
• Ensure high standards for accessibility, performance, and usability across devices and environments.
• Contribute to front-end architecture decisions, code quality standards, and component-driven workflows.
• Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and engineers throughout the full development lifecycle.
• Support testing, quality assurance, deployment workflows, and production readiness for live event delivery.

Senior Frontend Engineer (React / Next.js) Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in React.js, including modern component architecture, hooks, state management, and performance optimization.
• Strong hands-on experience with Next.js, including SSR, routing, middleware, and edge or server-based rendering patterns.
• Professional experience using TypeScript to build predictable, scalable, and maintainable front-end codebases.
• Demonstrated ability to work within component-driven systems using tools such as Storybook, design tokens, and structured design handoff.
• Experience building responsive interfaces using modern styling approaches such as Tailwind, Styled Components, or similar frameworks.
• Working knowledge of front-end data-fetching patterns and state management libraries.
• Solid understanding of accessibility best practices aligned with WCAG AA standards.
• Strong grasp of web performance fundamentals, including Web Vitals, bundle optimization, and asset delivery strategies.
• Experience contributing to CI/CD workflows, Git-based collaboration, and modern deployment pipelines.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset with a strong attention to craft, detail, and code quality.
