Senior EHS Specialist
Our client seeks a highly skilled and experienced Senior EHS Specialist to lead our environmental health, safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be an expert in EHS standards, with a passion for creating a safe and sustainable work culture, while proactively driving continuous improvements in safety protocols and environmental practices.

Due to the nature of this role and immediate business needs, we are only considering candidates currently residing in Montgomery, Alabama and surrounding area.

Senior EHS Specialist Responsibilities

• Lead EHS programs, ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, while promoting a safety-first culture.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and hazard assessments to identify and mitigate risks in the manufacturing facility.
• Manage hazardous waste and chemical safety programs, ensuring proper disposal and adherence to regulatory requirements.
• Develop and deliver training programs on EHS practices, fostering awareness and compliance across all levels of staff.
• Track and report on safety and environmental KPIs, implementing corrective actions and continuous improvements.

Senior EHS Specialist Qualifications

• 8+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other environmental regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field; CSP certification preferred.
• Proficiency in ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, and ISO 9001 standards; SAP and ADP experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to engage and influence teams at all organizational levels.

Compensation: $65k-$85k (DOE)
