Senior Buyer
Our client is seeking a detail-driven Senior Buyer who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution across the full procurement lifecycle. The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, and resourceful—someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, communicates effortlessly across teams, and ensures purchasing activities run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires strong relationship-building, analytical judgment, and the ability to keep complex workflows organized and moving forward.
This role is fully onsite in Clackamas, Oregon.
Senior Buyer Responsibilities
- Purchase goods and services in a timely and cost-effective manner to support operational needs.
- Coordinate procurement activities to maintain adequate inventory levels and meet production timelines.
- Process purchase requisitions across engineering, manufacturing, facilities, and other departments.
- Enter, track, and verify purchase orders, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Partner with cross-functional teams—including engineering, accounting, and receiving—to troubleshoot issues and ensure seamless workflow.
Senior Buyer Qualifications
- 3+ years of purchasing experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of purchasing processes and MRP concepts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective supplier and internal stakeholder interaction.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred; ASCM/ISM certifications are a plus.
Salary: Up to $85K/year. (DOE)
