Senior Apparel Innovation Developer
Our client is seeking a Senior Innovation Technical Developer to lead the development of cutting-edge performance apparel prototypes within a highly technical and research-driven innovation environment. This individual will play a key role in translating conceptual ideas into wearable prototypes using advanced patternmaking skills and digital development tools. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly detail-oriented, and brings specialized experience in compression and bra-related garment engineering.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Senior Apparel Innovation Developer Responsibilities
- Create, refine, and finalize innovative apparel prototypes through precise technical patternmaking and construction methods.
- Apply expertise in fit and engineering to develop compression and bra garments optimized for performance and comfort.
- Utilize digital tools such as Optitex and CLO3D to build and iterate on virtual garment models.
- Lead and participate in fit sessions, making necessary pattern adjustments informed by technical feedback and testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including materials developers, engineers, and manufacturing partners to ensure design feasibility and performance integrity.
- Support the end-to-end technical development process, from early prototyping to production-ready specifications.
- Maintain thorough documentation of specifications, revisions, and development learnings for future scalability.
Senior Apparel Innovation Developer Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Pattern Making, Apparel Product Development, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in technical apparel development, with hands-on expertise in pattern drafting and garment construction.
- Proven background in developing performance apparel, especially compression and/or bra-related products.
- Proficiency with digital patterning and 3D development software such as Optitex and CLO3D.
- Strong understanding of garment fit, engineering principles, and technical problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently on confidential innovation projects with minimal direction.
- Effective communicator and collaborator in multidisciplinary environments.
Compensation: Up to $56.67/hr. (DOE)
