Salesforce Business Systems Analyst
Our client is seeking a Salesforce Business Systems Analyst to partner closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to translate strategy into scalable system solutions. This individual will play a key role in optimizing Salesforce and connected platforms, improving operational efficiency, and driving user adoption through thoughtful design, documentation, and training. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, clear communication, and the ability to navigate both business needs and technical constraints in a fast-moving environment.
This role is fully remote.
Salesforce Business Systems Analyst Responsibilities
- Lead requirements gathering efforts by eliciting business needs, defining scope, and performing process and gap analysis to inform system solutions.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment between strategic objectives and system design and delivery.
- Translate complex business processes into functional Salesforce solutions that follow platform standards and industry best practices.
- Design and maintain user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria, and break down large initiatives into an executable backlog.
- Support Salesforce adoption by developing training materials, conducting user training, and translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Develop test plans and test cases, and execute system integration testing and user acceptance testing to validate functionality and performance.
- Monitor project progress, risks, and dependencies, and communicate status updates using Jira and related tracking tools.
- Identify and assess downstream system impacts, including billing, provisioning, invoicing, and revenue-related processes.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with business partners, IT resources, and leadership to deliver scalable, well-documented solutions.
Salesforce Business Systems Analyst Qualifications
- 5–6 years of experience supporting Salesforce implementations and related enterprise business systems.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce functionality, configuration, and customization capabilities.
- Experience supporting sales-related processes such as opportunities, quoting, contracts, pricing, approvals, order management, billing, and provisioning.
- Proficiency with tools such as Salesforce, Jira, and Google Sheets and/or Excel for analysis, documentation, and reporting.
- Solid knowledge of system integrations, relational databases, ETL tools, and adjacent platforms such as CPQ, CLM, and ERP systems.
- Experience working in Agile environments, including backlog management and iterative delivery.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to navigate complex workflows and data sets.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to large groups and senior stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in management, computer science, or a related field.
Compensation: $45-$52/hr. (DOE)
