Program Manager
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Program Manager to lead and direct project teams engaged in the design, implementation, and modification of technology projects, particularly in managing Content Management Systems (CMS) for large enterprise programs. This position is critical to the success and visibility of high-impact projects, serving as a key leadership role within the team. The Program Manager will play an important role in driving thorough reporting, data-driven decisions, and automation while managing strategic initiatives such as Generative AI.
This role is a hybrid model in Beaverton, Oregon.
Program Manager Responsibilities
- Provide proactive leadership and strategic guidance to the team.
- Articulate large, complex programs to leadership, ensuring alignment with technical and business objectives.
- Develop and maintain project execution plans, identifying technical and business resources as needed.
- Manage a Content Management System (CMS) that supports multiple enterprise programs, driving visibility and progress.
- Coordinate Agile sprint planning, retrospectives, and generate planning reports.
- Identify and mitigate risks within the enterprise, develop risk mitigation plans, and align team goals with organizational commitments.
- Take ownership of program areas, including Generative AI, to reduce workload for leadership.
- Collaborate with offshore teams who manage product areas/pillars.
- Implement a “follow-the-sun” model for seamless handoffs across time zones.
- Build and oversee comprehensive program plans, timelines, and cross-functional maps.
- Drive effective communication and collaboration with diverse stakeholders across business and technical areas.
- Use Jira to create program-level views and manage project tracking.
- Manage Confluence for documentation and cross-team visibility.
Program Manager Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in program management, ideally managing large, complex technology programs.
- Strong strategic and tactical program management skills, with a proven track record of delivering high-visibility projects.
- Expertise in Content Management Systems (CMS) within enterprise-scale projects.
- Demonstrated ability to understand data, enterprise risks, and risk mitigation planning.
- Experience with Generative AI and the ability to adapt as the technology evolves.
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to ensure transparency.
- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and tools, including Jira and Confluence, to streamline project visibility and collaboration.
- Experience working across time zones, particularly with East Coast and offshore teams.
- Positive, proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to engage with and influence senior leadership through clear and concise communication.
- Familiarity with data-driven decision-making processes and automation strategies.
Compensation: $67.33/hr. (DOE)
