Production Manager
Oversees management of all areas of production to produce products and direct activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule and within quality standards as well as cost objectives.

This position is 100% onsite.

Production Manager Responsibilities:
Assists company officers and senior staff members in the development and formulation of long and short-range strategic planning, policies, programs, and objectives. 
Develops production plans and establishes procedures for maintaining high standards of manufacturing operations to ensure that products conform to established customer and company quality standards. 
Achieves optimum employee levels with least amount of overhead and raw material costs to meet annual budgetary plan. 
Formulates and recommends manufacturing policies and programs that guide the organization in maintaining and improving its competitive position and the profitability of the operation. 
Manages and monitors department managers and supervisors to accomplish goals of the production plan, consistent with established manufacturing and safety procedures. 
Acts as liaison between department management/subordinate levels, as well as executive/department manager levels to inform personnel of communications, decisions, policies, and all matters that affect their performance, attitudes, and results. 
Hires, trains, develops, and evaluates staff. Takes corrective action as necessary on a timely basis and in accordance with company policy. 
Ensures compliance with current federal, state, and local regulations. 
Identifies, recommends, and implements changes to improve productivity reduce cost and scrap, monitor scrap and rework data. 
Manages the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of production standards. 
Manages and coordinates various programs essential to production procedures. 
Initiates and coordinates major projects.
Perform miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned and required.

Production Manager Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of manufacturing is required.  
Must possess the following competencies: leadership, performance. management, project management, planning, verbal and written communication proficiency, technical capacity, stress management/composure, business acumen, personal effectiveness/credibility, problem solving, analysis of data, deductive reasoning, and presentation skills.  
Must be able to manage several functional areas within an organization. 
Must be able to prepare clear and concise records and reports.  
Must be able to plan and direct the work of others.  
Ability to speak, read, and write English at the level necessary to successfully perform assigned responsibilities. 
Must be proficient on MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet.

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in related field.

Training:
ISO9001 & 14001, Safety, Food Safety, and on-the-job training. 
Computer and HR compliance training.
 
Experience:
Minimum 10 years in manufacturing, plus a minimum of 1 year experience at Manager level and a minimum of 5 years of experience managing a significant segment of manufacturing; or any equivalent combination of education and experience required.  
Previous experience in a Food Processing environment is preferred.

Salary: $48.08-$57.69/hr. (DOE)
