OpenText Functional Testing RPA Specialist
Our client is seeking an experienced OpenText Functional Testing (UFT) Robotic Process Automation (RPA) Specialist to support their IT portfolio initiatives. The ideal candidate will take ownership of designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining automation solutions across diverse technology environments. This role offers the opportunity to work independently on automation frameworks that enhance operational efficiency and system reliability.

This role is fully remote.

OpenText Functional Testing RPA Specialist Responsibilities

• Independently gather automation requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Design, build, and implement RPA solutions using OpenText UFT across multiple enterprise systems.
• Conduct end-to-end testing, troubleshooting, and validation of automation workflows to ensure high-quality results.
• Maintain and update RPA scripts, documentation, and user training materials.
• Collaborate with cross-functional IT and business teams to identify automation opportunities and improve existing processes.
• Ensure consistent adherence to established coding standards, security guidelines, and quality assurance practices.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship on UFT best practices and automation strategies.

OpenText Functional Testing RPA Specialist Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience developing automation solutions across various technology platforms using OpenText UFT.
• Strong technical expertise in automating Windows and web-based applications, as well as integrations with ServiceNow, SAP, APIs, and other supported systems.
• Proficiency with supporting scripting and automation tools, including PowerShell, VBScript, and batch scripting.
• Solid understanding of system testing methodologies and software development lifecycle principles.
• Familiarity with Agile practices and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and ALM.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document technical procedures clearly and concisely.
